Lightroom 4 adding random color bars and lines and ruining pictures

I don't know if it's light room or a hardware issue..... I am running Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and did a memory diagnostic and it's not the memory causing the color flares.  But I am getting images randomly transforming into similar to what I attached.  WHY?? I can't for the life of me figure it out and I opened the images in windows explorer and they have the same issues there too.... Please help!!  I am currently backing up all images to another harddrive to be safe, but I fear damage may already be done.....
