To address your "stuck triangles":
it could be due to a corrupted preferences file.
So rename it, so that LR will not recognize it and will create a new automatically when restarting.
Close LR and rename
- if you have Windows Vista or 7: C: \ Users \ [your username] \ AppData \ Roaming \ Adobe \ Lightroom \ Preferences \ Lightroom 4 Preferences.agprefs
- if you have a Mac: Macintosh HD / Users / [your username] / Library / Preferences / com.adobe.Lightroom4.plist
The advantage of renaming is that you can come back to the original file in case it would not have solved the problem.
Then, of course you need to trash the newly created file.
Whenever you touch this file, LR must be closed before.
