Ok, contacted Adobe support about this and got someone in Asia who kept telling me to download the update and enter a serial number. There are no serial numbers for Creative Cloud Members. He could not grasp why I did not have a serial number and was frankly a complete moron.
I am currenlty running Lightroom 4.1 -- I first attempted to update to 4.2 by downloading it and installing it. At this point, Lightroom did not show up in the Application Manager due to a bug, I suspect.
I first uninistalled Lightroom 4.1. This ended up uninstalling the Adobe Application Manager. Then the Lightroom 4.2 install asked for a serial number. No dice.
I gave up on it for awhile, and now I noticed that Lightroom shows up in the Application Manager. However --- My App Manager shows that I am running Lightroom 4.3 and that there are no updates available. This is not the case. I am in fact still running Lightroom 4.1.
When I open 4.1 it asks me if I want to upgrade to 4.3 via downloading it and installing it manually.
So in summary, Lightroom 4.1 is installed and running fine. The Application Manager has never allowed me to update Lightroom and it thinks I have Lightroom 4.3 installed. I have never downloaded nor attempted to install Lightroom 4.3. Lightroom is the ONLY application that will not correctly update through the application manager. If I attempt to manually uninstall 4.1 and install 4.3, I suspect I will again be asked for a serial number. Serial numbers are nowhere to be found in my Creative Cloud membership.
I assume, but do not know for certain, that the only proper way to update Adobe Applications obtained through a Creative Cloud membership is to use the Application Manager.
This process seems broken for Lightroom. Is there a fix?
And, NO, I am not using Windows Vista. Running Win7 64 bit.
