Those features didn't exist in ACR 6.x - which is what opens the file into Photoshop CS 5. Your Photoshop version is one behind Lightroom.
Unless you want to upgrade Photoshop, the workaround is what you're doing: Export, or Edit in Photoshop with this setting:
