Hello Adobe Lightroom Forum! Please provide your kind guidance/advice on a few queries as follows below. Many thanks!!
(1) After several months' usage of Adobe Lightroom 4.0, I suddenly received a notice that says that the Lightroom 4.0 catalog is not writable and can not be opened. I checked my permissions and all are fine. I did delete a "locked" file for Lightroom 4.0 and still I can not launch the software. In my computer directory, I saw that there was the same "locked" file for Lightroom 2.0, so I deleted that one as well.
What should I do next to get the software to open and work?
(2) I do a weekly backup of my Lightroom 4.0 catalog as per the software's prompting and see that those are available but the last backup does not include my most recent photo uploads from the past few days. Also, the weekly backup files have a "read only" status. Should I unclick that for all previous weekly backups?
(3) I am in the process of downloading Lightroom 4.3 as I type this and hopefully there won't be an issue with Windows Business Vista which is what I use. If there is anything I should know about the download and use with this version of Windows, please advise. Will there be an issue, since I can't get Lightroom 4.0 to open at the moment?
(4) There are temporary import data files (examples: Temporary Import Data-7.db or Temporary Import Data-5.db-journal) in my Lightroom directory. Can I delete these or should I keep them there?
