Help Please

When running Lightroom 4.4 after I export a photo to a specific folder it then opens the folder (very annoying). This just started happening, how do I stop it?
Also, in the past when I adjusted a file it would mark the thumb nail on the filmstrip so I knew it had been adjusted, my marks are gone, how do I get them back?
