What do you mean?
In Windows - there's no plugin icon, plugins are just folders and if they end in .lrplugin, then it's a plugin.
Mac tries to help you identify plugins by showing you folders that end with .lrplugin as (plugin) icons.
Under the hood, it's the exact same thing on either platform - plugin "objects" are folders ending with .lrplugin.
It's kinda like applications on Mac, which are really just folders ending with '.app' - Mac hides that fact from you by showing them to you as icons, but they're just folders.
You can see the "uninterpreted" view of such an "object" (folder) by Ctrl-clicking it and choosing "Show as Folder..." (or something like that) - you can do that with applications or plugins...
