One reason for Lr not exporting your book could be that one of the images is not available because it is offline or missing.
A reason for not exporting a PDF could be that you exported the PDF before (under the same file name) and the previous PDF is still open in Adobe Acrobat.You won't get any error message in this case; the export just stops.
