So I decided to go ahead and call Adobe support and this was the solution:
Start Finder then click on GO.
Type in ~/Library and click GO.
Find Preferences folder
Find com.adobe.Lightroom4 and move it to trash
Close this window.
Re-start LR and all should be well.
