Adobe does not claim to attend to these forums (other than moderating extreme cases of poor behavior). This forum is intended to offer a chance for users to help other users. To be really honest? If you are loosing connection to external devices during an import, I suspect your computer is hosed...this is something that shouldn't happen on a healthy system. The fact that you associate the LR 4.3>LR4.4 update as being responsible is really suspect. I think you have a sick system of hardware and system software and are tying to blame LR4.4 for something it's not guilty of. Fix you computer doode–the vast majority of users here on this user to user forum are NOT having the same issues. That should be a clue...it's you and the sooner you fix it, the better for you.
