Say I have a external with my Lightroom catelogue and all my original photo files as well that I work off. Now I know you can back up that same catelogue onto another drive, but I want to have a backup of my original photos as well onto that other drive together with the catelogue so that there are 2 of the same catelogues with 2 sets of original photos. Should one drive dissapear or fail all is not lost.
If you can only backup the catelogue and it can only read from one location then when making a backup of your originals you loose all the associated metadata.
Can anyone please advise on the best way forwards?
