I have created/inserted my business logo repeatedly in LR2.7 as a graphical identity plate (it's a jpg). I just upgraded to LR4, saw the instructions for doing so were the same, went through the same process as I have historically and my logo is not visible in the upper left corner of LR4. When I choose to use a larger version of my logo jpg as the graphical identity plate in LR4, I can see the bottom of the jpg in the 'identity plate' location (upper left in LR), so seems the jpg is being inserted, but it is not visible with the smaller jpg I used in LR2.7 for this purpose. I do have "Enable Identity Plate (Custom)" checked.
I'd appreciate your help!
