Thanks guys. I understand your enthusiasm for LR, and I'm convinced from what I've heard that LR is going to do what I want, once I've learnt it, but want to know the gotchas to avoid. Seems the first one is "if you're going to use <save metadata to file>, make sure you have a primary copy elsewhere first (just in case)". One of its great benefits is obviously the great help given here, thanks again
