Guys.... Can we just stick to the issue between Lightroom, Photoshop and Nik here? For discussions about Google I really don't have to visit an Adobe forum!

You could use Print Screen to take a snap, but there's no inbuilt print-this-map tool, as the map data is copyrighted to third parties.
A quick test shows that LR 5 does not import keywords from the metadata field IPTC:Keywords.
As a workaround, you could use the free Exiftool to copy IPTC:Keywords into XMP:Subject before importing:
$ exiftool.exe '-xmp:subject<iptc:keywords' a.jpg
Also, in the past the LR team has stated they are following the industry standard Guidelines for Handling Image Data 2.0. That standard calls for IPTC:Keywords to be recognized as a source of keywords, just like XMP:Subject. LR 5 doesn't appear to be doing that, so you might file a bug report here:

(Adobe won't pay any attention to reports about LR 4.)
The solution was simple, change Metadata panel to view default data instead of EXIF + IPTC (that I have been used in LR always).

Yes, I did it...I formatted the card in-camera before I had everything imported. Luckily the D800 has twin slots and they were both populated, so I switched immediately and haven't used that card since.
Any recommended software that works?

I guess to the basic extent I am confident with HTML (such as IMG tags and TITLE properties and so on) but how can this simple task be completed without making it too complicated?

I want to permanently delete photos from an external hard drive using LR 5. I get the message: File could not be moved to the Trash. The file is on a volume that does not support Trash. Would you like to permanently delete them? The choices are Permanently Delete Files of Cancel.
I used to be able to do this. I believe it is a permissions issue. Three calls to Adobe Tech Support have not solved the problem. Can anyone help?

I would like to obtain a lens profile for the Leica D-Lux 5. Is that available?
I have JPG and DNG versions of images. If I edit metadata in these files externally to Lightroom, then only the JPG versions get flagged by LR5 as having had their metadata changed on disk. As far as LR5 is concerned, the DNG files remain untouched, which is incorrect. Is this a bug?

Exit Lightroom and delete your Preview Cache. Lightroom will then rebuild the Preview Cache and you should be ok. You did not bother listing your OS or Lr versions so here are the important file locations for Lr5. If you have another version you can do a search. DO NOT delete the LRCAT file as that is your catalog.
