This is weird - I really can't explain it. I'm beginning to suspect that something funny is happening in the Lr export stage. Nevertheless: try Adobe RGB as monitor profile just to rule that out....

eartho,That would mean that the pale cyan I am seeing in the sRGB file is at the utmost limit of the sRGB color space (since it is clipped). Is there a way I can verify that?Thanks.

this is not normal for a wide gamut display. yes, it is. His colors are out of gamut and clipped in sRGB, that's why they look desaturated in applications which are profile aware. In other words, the...

Actually I could be wrong there...this does seem to be pretty close to the sRGB gamut boundary; with the red channel at solid zero. I'll see if I can take a look at the source files in Photoshop. OTOH...

Soft proofing set to sRGB shows the pale desaturated version. Does that confirm that indeed that's the best sRGB can do with regard to that color?

Next time you decide to rename and move files, if you do it using Lightroom you will lose track of your images.
